What if my Quicken data file isn't on my removable (USB) drive after Quicken tells me it was successfully backed up?
Data may be lost when a removable (USB) drive is detached from a computer and the process to safely remove the drive wasn't followed. Try backing up your Quicken data file to your removable drive again. However, before you detach the removable drive from the computer, be sure to click the icon in the system tray that enables you to safely remove, unplug, or eject hardware.
