What if Quicken converts the wrong data file?
When you install a new version of Quicken, it automatically opens and converts the last data file you used. If that’s not the file you intended to convert, you can switch to the correct one manually. Quicken makes it easy to locate and open any data file stored on your computer. Once you open the right file, Quicken will convert it to the current format.
Open the correct file
To convert a different data file:
Open Quicken.
Select File > Open Quicken File.
Browse to the file you want to use and select it.
Click Open.
Quicken will open and convert the selected file.
Find your other data file
If you’re not sure where the file is located:
Select File > Find Quicken Files.
Review the list of available files.
Note the location and name of the file you want to open.
Once you find the correct file, follow the steps above to open it.
