What if I can't uninstall Quicken?

When you're not logged in to Windows with administrator privileges, and you try to install or uninstall Quicken, the Quicken Installer displays an error.

To verify how you're currently logged in:

  1. On the Windows taskbar, click Start or the Windows logo
    , and then choose Settings 
    .
  2. Select Accounts.
  3. Verify that it says Administrator under your profile.

If you're not logged in as an administrator:

  1. Log out from your system.
  2. Log back into your system with the appropriate privileges.
  3. Try to install or uninstall Quicken again.
