What if I need to restore an automatic backup of my Quicken data file?

Quicken makes a historical copy of your data every seven days and stores five of these copies in the Quicken\BACKUP folder. If the backup file you've made has become damaged, you may be able to restore an automatic backup and save yourself the need to reenter some data.

  1. Choose File menu > Backup and Restore > Restore from Backup File > Restore from automatic backups. The Restore from backup dialog displays the automatic backups located in the Quicken\BACKUP folder.
  2. Select the most recent Quicken data file.
  3. Click Restore Backup.
