How do I open an account?

Open an account from the Account Bar

In the Account Bar, click the account that you want to open.

Open an account from the Account List

Choose Tools menu > Account List then select the name of the account you want to open.

What if my account has many transactions and is slow to open?

Having several year's worth of transaction history appear every time you open an account can slow down your work and add visual clutter. If this is your situation, consider managing the size of your Quicken data file. The way to do this is to archive the older transactions using either the Archive or Create New Year features. For step-by-step instructions, see Archive Quicken information at year's end.
