Overview of Quicken Classic features

Quicken Classic for Windows gives you the tools to manage your personal finances, track account activity, and plan for both everyday expenses and long-term goals. Whether you're reviewing transactions, setting up bills and reminders, or monitoring your net worth, Quicken helps you stay organized and informed.

You can track a wide variety of accounts, including checking, savings, credit cards, loans, and investments. Transactions can be entered manually, downloaded from your bank, or imported from other sources. Over time, this data builds a history that you can use to generate reports and spot financial trends.

What you can do

Quicken includes features for managing your day-to-day finances as well as tools for higher-level planning. You can:

  • Add and manage bank, credit card, loan, and investment accounts

  • Categorize and tag income and expenses

  • Track bills and schedule reminders

  • Create reports and graphs

  • Use budgets to monitor your spending

  • Reconcile account balances

  • Attach images to transactions

  • Track multiple currencies (if enabled)

  • Use additional services like online sync and mobile access

Most features are available from the menu bar and from tabs like Spending, Bills & Income, and Planning.
