About using an investment transaction list

What is an investment transaction list?

An investment transaction list is essentially a register, much like the register you use for your spending accounts, except that it tracks investment transactions.

Each Quicken investment account has a transaction list. You use it in much the same way as you use the register for your checking or credit card accounts. You can view the transactions made in your investment accounts, including shares bought, shares sold, dividends, reinvestments, stock splits, and more.

How do I update my investment transactions?

For connected accounts, your transactions are it is updated automatically when you perform a One Step Update. For offline/manual accounts you must enter each transaction yourself. To do this, click the Enter Transactions button at the top of your transactions list.

What can I do in the investment transaction list?

In the investment transaction list, you can enter new transactions manually or download them directly from your broker or participating financial institution
