The Quicken Cloud is a free subscription* service that connects and integrates your financial institutions, your computer, and your mobile devices so you can manage your money and make strong financial decisions anytime, anywhere.
- How do I get started?
The first time you use Quicken or anytime you access a connected service feature, such as the Quicken Cloud, for the first time, you'll be asked to create your Quicken ID. Just complete the brief process to get immediate access to all the great Quicken connected services features.
* Your free subscription to the Quicken Cloud ends on April 30, 2017. We'll notify you in-product when that date draws near, and offer you an easy upgrade path to extend your subscription.
- Am I required to setup a Quicken ID?
A Quicken ID is not required to use Quicken. However, if you would like to take advantage of Quicken's online services and notifications for free updates, registering Quicken with a Quicken ID is required.
- Is the Quicken ID secure?
Rest assured, Quicken uses industry standard bank-level encryption to keep your information safe.
- Do I have to pay to setup a Quicken ID?
No. Quicken does not charge its customers for using the software to download online transactions or to pay bills online through your financial institution.
- I already have a Quicken.com and investing.quicken.com ID. Do I still need to create a Quicken ID?
No. You can use the same Quicken ID.
- Can I use my Quicken Cloud ID as my Quicken ID?
No. The Quicken Cloud ID will only work with Quicken.
You’ll need to setup a Quicken ID to use with Quicken desktop and mobile devices. (However, you can use the same email address you used with your Quicken 2013 Quicken Cloud ID when setting up your Quicken ID for Quicken.)
- When I create a Quicken ID, Is my financial information automatically connected to the cloud?
No. At Quicken, we place the highest importance on respecting and protecting the privacy of our customers. Our most important asset is our relationship with you. We want you to feel comfortable and confident when using our products and services. Therefore, we want to share with you the principles that govern our information practices and other privacy aspects of our Quicken software products and services.
- Where is my Quicken ID saved?
Your Quicken ID is saved as part of your personal data file. If you make a backup or save your data file to another location, your Quicken ID will be saved too.
- Do I have to setup a Quicken ID to update my Quicken software?
It is recommended to setup a Quicken ID if you want to update your Quicken software. This will allow you to get notifications of updates via One Step Update (OSU) and download updates directly from Quicken. If you do not want to use Quicken Online Services, when available a manual update for Quicken can be downloaded here.
