WIN Cloud editor conversion tracker

WIN Cloud editor conversion tracker

Owner: John Hewitt
Space: WIN - Quicken Windows Help
Started: June 8, 2026
Purpose: Track conversion of migrated Confluence Server pages to the current Confluence Cloud editor while keeping content changes minimal.

Working rule

Do not bulk-edit pages without review. Convert or update pages in small batches, then review the published page for graphics, legacy content, unsupported macros, and layout changes.

Status legend

Status

Meaning

Not started

Page has not been reviewed for conversion.

Inventory only

Page metadata has been captured, but the page has not been edited.

Pilot candidate

Page is suitable for a small controlled test.

Converted

Page has been edited/saved and reviewed.

Needs visual review

Page has images, layout, or embedded content that must be checked in the browser.

Macro risk

Page contains a legacy-content extension, unsupported macro, or macro that needs review.

Blocked

Page should not be edited until the issue is resolved.

First inventory pass

The first structured CQL inventory query returned 200 current pages in the WIN space. The query used was:

space = WIN AND type = page ORDER BY title

The CQL endpoint currently returns a capped alphabetic set that ends at Create a memorized payee. Because a usable next cursor was not exposed in the tool response, continue inventory work with targeted title queries, feature-area queries, and child-page checks.

The first batch is sorted alphabetically and starts with pages such as:

Page title

Page ID

Notes

space = WIN AND type = page AND title ~ "delete" ORDER BY title

28

Returned delete-related help topics across account, payee, bill, business, invoice, investment, report, and cloud-account areas. Useful for a mixed pilot batch.

Per-page checklist

For each page:

  1. Open or fetch the current page body.

  2. Record title, page ID, URL, and last modified date.

  3. Inspect ADF for media, tables, links, layout, extensions, and legacy-content nodes.

  4. If low risk, make only a minor punctuation, spacing, or style correction.

  5. Save with the version comment: Updated to current Confluence editor; minor cleanup only.

  6. Fetch the saved page again and verify the body.

  7. Check browser rendering for pages with graphics, tables, links, macros, or complex layout.

  8. Mark the tracker status.

  9. Report any issue that is not safe to fix immediately.

Notes

  • Do not use space-wide auto-conversion until at least one pilot batch has been reviewed.

  • Fix only low-risk visual issues, such as image sizing or alignment, when the intended result is obvious.

  • Report uncertain image, macro, or layout issues instead of guessing.

  • Keep each conversion batch small enough to review the same day.

  • The connector can inspect ADF and update low-risk text pages. Browser visual QA is still required for pages with graphics, tables, macros, or complex layout.
