Quicken for Mac gives you two ways to contact the product team: general feedback and problem reports. Both open a similar window where you can describe your issue and choose which files to include.
Note: Quicken doesn't respond to these submissions directly. If you need help with an issue, contact Support instead.
Submit feedback or report a problem
Follow these steps to send feedback or report a problem from Quicken for Mac.
-
Open the Help menu, then choose one of the following:
-
Select Send Quicken Feedback... to share praise, a suggestion, or an idea. Quicken uses this feedback to help identify new features and areas for improvement.
-
Select Report a Problem... to report a specific issue you're experiencing. Quicken uses this information for statistical and investigative purposes.
Both commands open a similar window with the same options for screenshots, log files, and attachments.
-
-
Enter your comments in the feedback field. The Send Quicken Feedback window uses a Share your feedback field. The Report a Problem window uses a Please describe the issue you are experiencing field.
-
Choose which files to send with your report.
-
Leave Include screenshot selected to attach an image of your current Quicken window. Clear the checkbox if you don't want to send a screenshot.
-
Under Include Quicken log files, clear any file you don't want to send. Quicken selects Details.txt, ConnectivityResults.txt, ConsoleLog.txt, ConnLog.txt, HTTPLog.txt, and OFXLog.txt automatically. None of these files contain your financial data. Select a file's name to open and review its contents before you send it.
-
Select Sanitized data file if you want to include a copy of your financial data with your account and personal information removed. This option isn't selected automatically. Use it instead of attaching your live data file if the product team needs to review your data.
-
Select Attach additional files... to browse your Mac and attach other files related to your report.
Note: You can attach up to 10 files, including the log files Quicken selects for you. If you need to send more, clear one or more of the automatically included log files, or send a second report with the remaining files.
-
-
Confirm your name and email address. Quicken displays the name and email address associated with your signed-in Quicken ID below the file list. You can't edit this field.
-
Select Send to Quicken to submit your report, or select Don't Send to close the window without submitting.
After you select Send to Quicken, a progress window appears while Quicken sends your report. This can take several minutes. Select Cancel in the progress window if you need to stop the submission before it completes.
