Keyboard Navigation in the Transactions View

If you regularly review, edit, and organize transactions, you don’t have to rely on your mouse for everything.

The Transactions view supports keyboard navigation that lets you move between cells, edit transactions, select rows, and sort columns quickly. For users who process many transactions at once, this can significantly speed up daily financial management.

When this Becomes Helpful

Keyboard navigation is especially helpful if you:

  • Review large numbers of transactions

  • Frequently edit categories, payees, or amounts

  • Use the Transactions view as part of a daily workflow

  • Prefer working from the keyboard instead of switching between mouse and keys

How Keyboard Navigation Works

The Transactions list behaves like a spreadsheet. You can move between cells, enter edit mode, save changes, and select multiple rows using only your keyboard.

These shortcuts work throughout the Transactions view when a row or cell is selected.

Key Differences for macOS users

On macOS, replace:

  • Ctrl with ⌘ Command

  • Alt with ⌥ Option

On some keyboards, you may need to use:

  • Fn + Arrow Up instead of Page Up

  • Fn + Arrow Down instead of Page Down

  • Fn + Arrow Left instead of Home

  • Fn + Arrow Right instead of End
