Before You Begin

This topic assumes you've already connected your accounts during set-up. And if you are using Quicken Business and Personal, have added your business. If not, start there first — everything else builds on this step:

Your Home Base: The Dashboard

When you sign in, you land on your Dashboard — your financial command center and home base for everything in Quicken.

From here, you can:

  • See a real-time snapshot of your net worth and recent activity

  • Track your accounts in one place — your transactions are downloaded and categorized automatically

  • Monitor income, spending, and upcoming bills

  • Pick up where you left off with next setup steps

What to Do Next

Start by getting comfortable with your foundation:

  1. Explore your Dashboard — get your bearings and see what Quicken has already pulled together for you

  2. Review your transactions — check that things look right and categories make sense

  3. Add any assets — a home, car, or other property counts toward your net worth and gives you a more complete financial picture

Once these feel familiar, you're ready to move on to the next stage of your journey.
