Overview
The Dashboard is your financial home base. Each time you sign in, it brings together information from your connected accounts and tools so you can quickly see what is happening with your money.
Your Dashboard gives you a quick snapshot of:
-
Account balances and net worth
-
Recent transactions and transactions that need review
-
Spending and income
-
Upcoming bills and subscriptions
-
Savings goals, investments, and credit score
If you are using Quicken Business & Personal, you will also see a snapshot of:
-
Business profit and loss
-
Customer invoices
-
Mileage and recent trips
-
Tax planner and estimated taxes
These are just some of items you can display on your Dashboard. To tailor your Dashboard to what you want to see most, see Customizing Your Dashboard.
Start with a Quick Financial Check-In
You do not need to review every tile or account each time you sign in. A quick look at the Dashboard can help you answer three questions:
-
Do my accounts and balances look current?
-
Is there anything I need to review or prepare for?
-
What is the most useful action I can take next?
For example, you might notice:
-
An unfamiliar or uncategorized transaction
-
A bill or estimated tax payment coming due
-
An unpaid customer invoice
-
A change in spending or income
-
Progress toward a savings, investment, or credit goal
Because this information appears together, you can decide what matters without opening every account, report, or financial tool separately.
Note: The information shown on your Dashboard depends on your subscription, connected accounts, and completed setup. You may not see every feature described in this topic.
What the Dashboard Helps You Understand
Think of the Dashboard as a collection of financial signals. Each section or tile helps answer a different question.
What do I have?
Your Account list and tiles such as Net Worth, Holdings, and Investments show the value of your accounts, assets, and investments.
What has recently happened?
Recent Transactions shows purchases, payments, deposits, and other account activity.
Review Transactions highlights activity that may need to be categorized, checked, or corrected.
What may happen again?
Bills & Income helps identify bills, subscriptions, transfers, and income that may repeat. Recognizing recurring activity can make future cash flow easier to anticipate.
Where is my money coming from and going?
Income Report, Spending Report, and Top Spending Categories help you recognize income and spending patterns, including changes that may deserve a closer look.
What is coming next?
Bills & Income, Invoices Overview, and Tax Planner help you prepare for expected money coming in or going out.
How is my business performing?
With Quicken Business & Personal, tiles such as Business Profit & Loss, Invoices Overview, Top Products & Services, and Recent Trips help you monitor business activity.
Am I making progress?
Spending Plan, Savings Goals, Watchlist, Achievements, and Credit Score help you follow specific priorities and longer-term progress.
Notice, Investigate, and Act
The Dashboard helps you notice a question or change. Select the related account, transaction, amount, tile, or link when you are ready to investigate or take action.
For example:
-
Open an unfamiliar transaction to review its details.
-
Open Review Transactions to categorize or correct activity.
-
Open Spending Report when spending has increased.
-
Open Bills & Income to prepare for upcoming payments.
-
Open Tax Planner to review an estimated tax payment.
-
Open Invoices Overview to check expected or overdue payments.
-
Open Spending Plan to see what is available to spend.
-
Open Net Worth to review your broader financial position.
You do not have to solve everything at once. Choose the item that is most important today, take the next useful step, and return to the rest when needed.
Examples
A Quick Personal Finance Check-In
Taylor signs in, checks account balances, and reviews recent activity. After confirming that the newest transactions look familiar, Taylor checks Bills & Income to make sure enough money is available for upcoming payments.
In a few minutes, Taylor knows that everything is on track without opening every account separately.
Finding Something That Needs Attention
Alex notices several uncategorized transactions in Review Transactions. Alex opens them, assigns the correct categories, and identifies which purchases were business expenses.
The Dashboard makes it easy to see where attention is needed and begin fixing it.
Preparing for a Repeating Expense
Morgan sees a transaction in Potential Recurring that appears to be an annual software renewal. Morgan confirms the recurring expense and plans for it before the next payment is due.
