How do I see my bank balance when I have a savings goal?
When you set aside money in a savings goal account, Quicken keeps track of both your actual bank balance (what your bank statement will say) and the balance of your account without the money you've set aside for your savings goal.
You can view the true balance of your bank account by hiding the transfers to your savings goal accounts.
- Open the account you want to use.
- Click (the Account Actions icon), and deselect Show Savings Goal transactions in register and reports. This will hide your savings goal transactions in your register and show you your actual account balance.
Note
Savings goal accounts and balances are also listed in the Account Bar. Right-click a savings goal and deselect Show Savings Goal transactions in register and reports to hide any transfers to your savings goal and view your actual account balance.
