Fix a full Memorized Payee List
If you see a message that your Memorized Payee List is full, it means the list has grown too large. This can affect performance and may prevent new payees from being added automatically.
Use cases
You’ve used Quicken for many years and now receive a warning about payee list size.
You no longer need many of the payees that were added automatically in the past.
To reduce the size of the Memorized Payee List
Choose Tools > Memorized Payee List.
Review the list and delete any one-time or rarely used payees.
Note: You can’t delete online payees using this method.
To keep the list from growing too large
Choose Edit > Preferences.
In the left pane, select Data entry and QuickFill.
In the right pane, check Remove memorized payees not used in the last [x] months.
Enter a number of months that reflects how long you want unused payees to be retained.
This setting allows Quicken to automatically clean up your list over time, helping avoid future issues.
