How do I reset my data on the Quicken Cloud?

After you set up the desktop app, you might decide that you want to reset the data stored in the Quicken Cloud for the file you have open.

Resetting your cloud data removes your currently synced account information from the Quicken Cloud and then uploads a new copy for the same time period based on the data in your desktop data file.

Before you reset

Resetting cloud data affects mobile and web access for the currently opened file. Make sure you understand what gets removed and rebuilt before you continue.

When you reset cloud data, the following information is removed from the Quicken Cloud and then restored during the re-sync:

  • Accounts you previously selected for sync

  • Transaction history for those accounts (not earlier than two years from your cloud registration time)

  • Cloud attachments you previously uploaded

  • Budgets you were syncing

  • Renaming rules, categories, tags, and alert settings you were using

If you previously registered for credit features, resetting can also unregister and remove your credit score and credit alerts.

Reset your cloud data

Use these steps to reset the cloud data for the file that is currently open.

  1. Select Edit > Preferences.

  2. In the left pane, select Mobile & Web.

  3. Under Quicken Mobile & Web, select Reset your cloud data.
