You use the Windows standard menu commands Cut, Copy, and Paste to remove, duplicate, and move selected text such as letters, numbers, or symbols.

To remove text and put it on the Microsoft® Windows Clipboard, select the text and choose Edit menu > Cut.

To place a copy of text on the Clipboard, select the text and choose Edit menu > Copy.

To insert a copy of the Clipboard contents, click where you want to place it and choose Edit menu > Paste.
