Match Status
Non-editable. This column indicates whether the transaction has been matched or not with a downloaded transaction data from your bank, helping to avoid duplicates or discrepancies. Statuses include:
- Matched: Indicates that Quicken successfully found an exact match for the downloaded transaction with a transaction already in the register.
- Unmatched: Quicken was unable to find a corresponding transaction in your register. These need to be manually reviewed and possibly entered.
- Matched (Auto): The software automatically matched a downloaded transaction to one in the register based on certain criteria like amount and date. While usually accurate, these should still be reviewed.
- Needs Review: For transactions that have similarities but are not identical, you may see this status. This indicates that you should manually verify the transaction.
- Downloaded: This status signifies that a transaction has been downloaded from your financial institution but has not yet been matched to any manual or auto transaction. In essence, it’s a “new” transaction that Quicken has yet to process or reconcile with any existing entry.
