Customize your calendar view

Use the Calendar settings in Quicken Classic for Mac to focus on only the account activity you want to see. You can include specific accounts and choose whether to display transactions, balances, investment changes, or any combination. This helps you monitor the financial data most relevant to your goals.

To create or edit a custom Calendar view

  1. Click the Calendars dropdown in the top-left corner of the Calendar window.

  2. Select New Calendar to create a new custom view, or choose Edit Calendar to change an existing one.

  3. In the dialog that appears:

    • Enter a name for your calendar.

    • Select All accounts or choose Selected accounts to specify which accounts to include.

    • Check the accounts you want to include from the list.

    • Click OK to save your selection.

You can also click the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the Calendar to adjust display options:

  • Show Transactions – Display scheduled and posted transactions.

  • Show Balances – Display running cash balances.

  • Show Investment Changes – Show daily percentage gain/loss data for investment accounts (requires recent quote downloads).

You can combine these settings as needed. For example, you might create a calendar that:

  • Tracks only investment performance

  • Displays only transactions without balances

  • Shows savings account activity without investment or loan data

These settings apply to the selected calendar view and can be changed at any time. Hidden or closed accounts will not appear unless reactivated.
