What if my scheduled updates failed to run at the time I specified?

If your scheduled update did not run at the expected time, check the conditions below. Scheduled updates only run when certain requirements are met.

Close Quicken before the scheduled update runs

Scheduled updates only run when Quicken is not open. If Quicken is running, even in the background, the scheduled update will not start.

Close Quicken before the scheduled time to allow the update to run.

Keep your computer awake at the scheduled time

Scheduled updates only run when your computer is powered on and awake. If the computer enters sleep mode before the scheduled time, the update will not start.

Make sure your computer remains awake at the scheduled time for the update to run.

Verify that scheduled updates are enabled

If scheduled updates still do not run, confirm that the feature is configured correctly in Quicken.

  1. Open the Tools menu.

  2. Select Schedule Updates.

  3. Verify that your financial institutions are selected.

  4. Confirm the days and time for the update schedule.

If the schedule is correct and the conditions above are met, the update should run at the scheduled time.
