How do I match my online accounts from this financial institution to my Quicken accounts?

When you connect to a financial institution in Quicken Classic for Windows, Quicken displays a list of the accounts it finds under your login. You can link these online accounts to your Quicken accounts during setup.

What matching accounts means

When you connect to a financial institution in Quicken Classic for Windows, Quicken displays a list of accounts it finds under your login. You can then choose how to match each online account to your existing Quicken data. This process ensures your account information is accurate and transactions download to the correct place. Matching accounts ensures that Quicken downloads transactions to the correct account register. You can link an online account to an existing Quicken account, add it as a new account, or ignore it.

To match your online accounts

  1. For each account listed, choose how you want Quicken to handle it:

    • Link to an existing Quicken account: Select Link to existing account, choose the appropriate Quicken account from the dropdown list, and select Accept.

    • Add as a new account: Select Add to Quicken, enter a name for the new account, and select Accept.

    • Do not add to Quicken: Select Ignore, then select Accept. The account will not be added to Quicken or included in updates.

  2. Repeat the step above for each account.

  3. After you finish linking or ignoring all listed accounts, select Next to complete the setup.

Quicken will use your choices to manage future downloads and online payments for these accounts.
