Accessing Quicken online banking log files
When troubleshooting connection problems, Quicken Support may ask you to send log files that record your recent online banking activity. These logs can help identify the cause of download or communication issues with your financial institution.
Quicken maintains two key online banking log files:
Connection Log (CONNLOG.TXT): Contains a summary of your online banking connection attempts, including time stamps, session outcomes, and server communication details. It also logs the URLs accessed, the time each action took place, and status codes that indicate success or failure of the connection.
OFX Log: Contains detailed information exchanged during online account updates. This includes the raw request and response data passed between Quicken and your financial institution in the Open Financial Exchange (OFX) format. The OFX log shows the full structure of the data sent and received and is especially useful for identifying errors in downloaded transaction content or malformed responses from the server.
Both logs show the most recent entries at the bottom of the file.
