Change connection type

This screen lets you switch from Direct Connect to a different connection method if your financial institution supports it.

What to do

  1. Review the list of available connection types shown.

  2. Select the method you want to switch to.

  3. Click Next to continue.

You’ll see only the connection methods supported by your financial institution. Options may include:

  • Express Web Connect (EWC) or Express Web Connect+ (EWC+) – one-way download of transactions.

  • Web Connect – manual download from your bank’s website.

  • Direct Connect – full two-way connection, often with bill pay (your current setting).

Tips

  • To check your current connection method, go to Tools > Account List, click Edit next to the account, and view the Online Services tab.

  • If you're not sure which method to choose, contact your bank or visit quicken.com/support for more information.
