Learning about reports
Reports in Quicken help you review your finances from different angles, such as spending by category, income versus expenses, net worth, and tax-related activity. As you add or download transactions, Quicken updates the related reports automatically.
This article explains how report totals work, the different report types, and what each report can help you review.

Report descriptions
Report Totals
Totals display at the bottom of the screen or printed reports, aligning with standard accounting practices.
Report totals
Report totals appear at the bottom of the screen and on printed reports. This matches common accounting layouts and makes it easier to review subtotals and grand totals.
Report types
Quicken offers three types of reports. Each type gives you a different mix of built-in structure and flexibility.
Standard reports
Standard reports are built-in reports that cover common needs like spending, income, net worth, and taxes. Many standard reports let you adjust filters such as date range, accounts, categories, and payees, and some support CSV export.
Custom reports
Custom reports let you build a report from scratch or save a modified version of another report. Use them when you want a specific layout, comparison, or set of filters that you plan to reuse.
Business reports
Business reports help you review business income, expenses, cash flow, and profitability. You can open them from the Business tab, the dashboard, or the Report Center.
