What if some of my transactions are missing when reconciling my online account?

If you're reconciling to an online balance and some transactions aren’t appearing in the Statement Summary, there are a few common reasons. Use the following checks to help locate missing transactions before continuing with reconciliation.

1. Your transactions haven’t been downloaded yet (most common)

If your register is missing recent activity, it's possible you haven’t downloaded the latest transactions from your financial institution.

To download them, click the Update Accounts button (circular arrow icon) in the Quicken toolbar.

2. You downloaded transactions but haven’t accepted them yet

When you download transactions, they appear first in the Downloaded Transactions tab below the account register. They won’t appear in the reconciliation window until they’ve been accepted into the register.

If you begin a reconciliation while unaccepted transactions are pending, Quicken displays a prompt:

You Have Unaccepted Transactions
Would you like to review these transactions before reconciling?

  • Review the unaccepted transactions first (recommended)

  • Reconcile without reviewing or accepting

To make sure all valid transactions are included, choose Review the unaccepted transactions first and accept them into the register.

3. The transaction hasn’t cleared your bank yet

Quicken can only download transactions that have cleared your bank. If you recently entered a transaction or made a payment, it may not appear until it posts to your account.

Check your online account to confirm whether the transaction has cleared.

4. Your reconciliation date range needs adjustment

If a transaction falls outside the date range you're using for reconciliation, it won’t appear in the Statement Summary.

Verify that your reconciliation start and end dates match your bank statement, and adjust if needed.
