What if I can't find the Downloaded Transactions tab?
The Downloaded Transactions tab typically appears below your account register when there are downloaded transactions waiting to be reviewed. If you don’t see it, check the following.
1. Automatic entry is turned on (most common)
If you've enabled Automatic Transaction Entry in your preferences, Quicken skips the Downloaded Transactions tab and adds the downloaded transactions directly to your register.
To check this setting:
Go to Edit > Preferences > Downloaded transactions
Look for Automatically add to banking registers
If this option is selected, the tab won’t appear—even if transactions were downloaded.
2. Your account isn’t set up for downloads
The Downloaded Transactions tab only appears for accounts that support downloads from your financial institution. Make sure the account is activated for online access.
3. You’re looking at the wrong register
Each account has its own register. The tab appears only when you're viewing an account that has pending downloaded transactions.
4. The tab is hidden by a display change
If you've customized your register layout, the tab area may be hidden or collapsed. Try resizing or expanding the bottom of the register window.
5. You haven’t imported the Web Connect file
If you use Web Connect and downloaded a .QFX
file from your bank, make sure you've imported it into Quicken:
Select File > File Import > Web Connect File
Or, double-click the file after downloading it to start the import
6. Quicken needs a refresh
Try one or more of the following:
Switch to another account and then back again
Close and restart Quicken
If the tab appears but is empty, hide and then reopen it
