Quicken has downloaded contributions details
When you download a 401(k) account for the first time, Quicken creates adjusting transactions that separate your employee contributions from your employer's matching contributions.
These transactions appear in your 401(k) transaction list as placeholder entries. They help Quicken match the total value reported by your financial institution with the contributions made by you and your employer.
What you need to do
Nothing. Unlike placeholders in other investment accounts, you don’t need to resolve these. Leave them as they are—Quicken uses them to keep your account balances accurate going forward.
This is a one-time process that only happens after your first 401(k) download.
