How do I view a security's price history/market value graph?
Quicken makes it easy to focus on the specifics of a security's price history as well as the market value of your own holdings. You can alternate between the price history and market value views of the security, and customize the time period to any meaningful date range. You can also put it all in a larger perspective by watching key fundamental data, and comparing current prices with the 52-week high and low.
- Click the Investing tab.
- Click the Tools button, and choose Security List.
- Click the name of the security you want to work with.
- Click Edit Security Details.
- Use the drop-down list in the middle of the window to switch between the Price History and Market Value graphs. Click a link below for more information.
Notes
- The price history/market value graph is based on the prices you've entered for that security.
- Quicken tries to show the prices you've entered as a single line in the price history graph, but if there isn't enough room for the date range you've selected, the prices appear as separate dots. When this happens, try selecting a longer date range, such as Year or 2 Years, to show a line.
