Getting your credit score report
A credit score is a number that represents your creditworthiness, based on your credit history. It helps lenders determine how likely you are to repay borrowed money. Scores typically range from 300 to 850, with higher scores indicating better credit. Your credit score is influenced by several factors, including credit usage, payment history, length of credit history, and any negative items such as bankruptcies or collections.
Quicken Classic for Windows allows you to view a credit score report that includes your score, a rating label (such as Good or Excellent), and a summary of the key factors affecting your score. The report is updated quarterly.
Access the Credit Score feature
To begin, locate the Credit Score tool in Quicken. Select Credit Score at the bottom of the Accounts Bar.
Register for your credit score report
If this is your first time accessing the credit score report, you’ll need to complete a one-time registration process:
Select Get Started in the Credit Score window.
Enter your personal details, including your Social Security Number.
Select Continue.
Answer the identity verification questions. If a question doesn’t apply to you, select None of the above.
Select Get your free score to complete registration.
View your report
After completing registration, you can view your credit score report at any time:
Select Credit Score at the bottom of the Accounts Bar.
Your credit score report appears, showing your score, rating, and six key factors that influence it.
Your report updates quarterly. The Next update date at the top right shows when your score will refresh.
Note: Viewing your score in Quicken is a soft inquiry and does not impact your credit score.
