How do I delete a paycheck?
If you leave a job and want to stop tracking a paycheck in Quicken, you can delete a paycheck transaction.
Remember that the tax withholding information associated with a paycheck is lost when you delete the paycheck from Quicken. Delete a paycheck only if you're no longer receiving a paycheck from a company and you don't mind losing this tax information. If you simply want to deposit a paycheck into a different account, you should edit your paycheck instead.
- Click the Bills tab.
- Click the Manage Reminders button.
- Click the All Bills & Deposits tab.
- Select the paycheck you want to delete from Quicken.
- Click Delete.
Important
Remember that a paycheck includes tax withholding information that will be lost when you delete the paycheck from Quicken. If you don't mind losing this information and still want to delete a paycheck, do so only when you're no longer receiving a paycheck from a company. If you simply want to deposit a paycheck into a different account, you should edit your paycheck instead.
